Premio G. Natta

Named after Giulio Natta, the Italian chemist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1963, the award was established to promote technical-scientific innovation in academia by increasing the general adoption of patenting practices and the use of intellectual property titles. Moreover, the prize also serves as a stimulus for young students to develop their patent database knowledge and skills in the name of research and scientific progress. Each year's competition is assigned a specific theme: for example, in 2011 the theme was anti-counterfeiting technology (tracing and tracking).
